The case of Michael Ellstrom v. Edith Norquist (St. Croix Country, WI) was tried before a jury in December 2018, The Honorable Scott Needham, presiding. Jill Herz and Alan King represented Ms. Norquist in a two-week jury trial. Plaintiff claimed millions of dollars of damages arising out of an auto accident that occurred on November 4, 2013, in Hudson, WI. Plaintiff alleged that Ms. Norquist was negligent in the operation of her motor vehicle and sought compensation for past and future medical expenses, wage loss, loss of future earning capacity, and pain and suffering. After deliberating for a day and a half, the jury awarded Plaintiff 3% of what he asked the jury for, mainly in past medical expenses. No loss in future earning was awarded.
